... I'm left to wonder if I won't end up crushed by some douchebag updating his facebook status while on the wheel eventually. I mean, traffic fatality rates have been steadily going up in Brazil, and even if you're the most careful driver in the world, there's no guarantee you won't be killed by someone else's stupid mistake, like veering off while texting or getting t-boned by a drunk driver, plus, I drive a lot on less than great (or even adequate) streets and in intense traffic, and I even know some fuckers who brag about all the times they had to go home shitfaced after a party...
I'm pretty much statistically dead, I suppose.

Same situation here in Puerto Rico. Since we're statistically dead but remain alive, does that make us statistically zombies?

As it gets worse and worse, unfortunately, things get worse.

I refuse to watch that thing because the commercials they play already trip me out.

Sad, but true... Though I don't know how much worse it can get when my daily commute, specially in the afternoon, already consists of several hours of swerving left and right to avoid the distracted people invading my lane...

exactly...to paraphrase...traffic is only as safe as the worst driver...no matter how well you drive you can easily get exploded by morons.

I live in the Los Angeles area now, right now I am driving 32 miles from home to a job project in Sherman Oaks, Ca. I leave at 4:30am and arrive at 4:58am. I get off work at 5 pm and get home usually at 6:45pm. That is 2.45 hrs total driving every work day. Can anyone beat that?
